Sky Multiscreen and really old Sky Box

I got the viewing card for Multiscreen, but the installation for the box is over a week away.. However i have an old Sky Box, and there is a single satellite feed to my bedroom where it is going to be installed.

I connected the box and it finds satellite signal etc, but when inserting the card, it says its not authorized...

So i assume that the engineer will activate the card when he arrives next week and it will not work with my old Sky Box?

just called them, they dont pair the old boxes anymore :( have to wait for the engineer coming and installing the box (aka plug it in to scart and power socket..)

No engineer will come. Sky don't use them for this. They use installers. Why use a highly qualified engineer just to plug in to power and scart?
