haven't had the need to stay in a hostel here because i live here. Than said, i've been looking for accommodation in March for family visiting. Not hostels though, but they show in the search! Check out lastminute.com for deals in adelaide, and also the hostels specifically. Also, whatever your opinion on Lonely Planet, they recently rated adelaide in the top ten places to visit. If nothing else, it means some recommendations. FYI anything in the cbd is walking distance, with one free bus loop and free tram in the cbd also. The tram will take you out to the beach too (need to buy ticket though!)
