Sony BDV-N8100W, DLNA server and missing Music link

Hey folks, I'm really hoping you guys can help me as I'm totally stumped at this stage. I plan to contact Sony as well but am hoping for a faster response here.

Basically I bought the Sony BDV-N8100w home cinema system this weekend.
I plugged it all in and everything worked as it should (to the best of my knowledge) including the ability to play music, video and stream photos off the network.

Today I setup the ability to connect to the internet which worked fine and gave me the ability to access the Opera Store etc. It gave me a lot more links to online services such as youtube, wired etc etc as well which weren't there before.

Under the Music tab I gained access to "Berliner Philiharmoiker', "National Public Radio", and "vTuner". I also still have the ability to play music from USB drives and of course cd's. I have however lost the ability to access the music on my laptop. The selection option seems to have been deleted.

The ability to stream photos and movies however remains unchanged and is taken from the same laptop. If I highlight the video connection and attempt to change the category to music it gives me an error saying that no playable contents are found in that folder although I can browse through the folders where the music is while using the video search category.

I have tried a software factory reset and while it removed my ability to use the SEN (Sony Entertainment Network) it didn't remove all the extra options that were made available after I "setup" the internet including the opera store etc.

Around the same time the option disappeared, windows requested to restart my laptop for an update which I did. I'm not sure if this might have anything to do with it but it seems weird to me that only the ability to stream music disappeared and not videos nor photos.

Any help GREATLY appreciated and thanks in advance.

Please ignore, the problem seems to have corrected itself while I was away this evening.
