In the last week or so boards has gone really slow, now it might be just my old laptop or does anyone else have problems with pages really slow to open, like 25 seconds?

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

boards seems to be the slowest, but I'd say my laptop has got a pneumonia virus. I wonder would micotil work if I poured it over the keypad:pac:

Try downloading the latest version of whatever browser your using. Recommend Google Chrome.

Other than that, you could try clearing your cache, although you will be logged out of any accounts you use online, so make sure you know all your passwords/usernames!

That'd be nearer an oral dose. Find a vein pump it direct :-)

Download malwarebytes free off the web and run it. The best antimalware package out there.

i brought my laptop to a young lad down the road, keypad was fooked- kids use laptop- he put in a new keyboard and got rid of all viruses , also downloaded a few movies for kids-didnt ask him for that- cost 35 euro:) brought the wii t him a few weeks ago and he fixed it for nothing. If i had brought it to a shop it would have cost alot more

No, it's probably fine. Whelan, hope you selected to remove the problems and rebooted, than run the full scan again. Ran this scan on a PC recently that had 800 problems.

The mainstream AV products are fine for viruses but are poor on malware.

had a major probem a few years ago, ifc package wouldnt open. Rang ifc, they could access my computer from their office and deleted a load of crap, ran the malware... took them a few hours but sorted it. They didnt even have to leave their office

Ya, there are great applications for remote assistance nowdays like Teamviewer that allows them to log in and fix problems. Saves ya bringing the whole pc into someone.
