Weanling with twisted gut

    Any tips on treating a calf that has a twisted gut? Vet called and gave him painkiller and said its hope for the best but said he more than likely won't make it.

    Had one and she's dead this morning. Thought she was doing well. All bloated up now :(

    best of luck with him but wouldn't put much on him making it.

    just be careful with him. Had one a few years ago and it affected the brain. (according to vet). He charged at a neighbour and was dead the next morning - the weanling that is - neighbour had lucky escape

    You could try some liquid paraffin, but they tend either to come out of it or they don't
