    One more question lads,
I just bought a new GI. Unfortunately Im in that area where a size 4 is too small and I was afraid of shrinkage and a size 5 is too big. in the past I just shrunk them to suit.
However this GI is preshrunk and was pricey enough.
How do ye all shrink your GI's?

Ive heard of people just putting them into a dryer for 10 min without washing them and checking it then back in for 8 min and checking and so on.
Or theres the usual wash in hot (50deg?) dry hot and thats it.
    What would ye recommend?
    Thanks folks.

Have a ridiculously hot shower, jump straight into a sauna and then get a hair dryer to dry yourself off.

    Tah Dah........now you'll fit the size 4.

Wash on 90 degrees and then straight into the dryer on hot till it's dry

I never had that happen, but the worse that did was a Mizuno competition gi which cost €240 shrunk to pre-teen size!.

I donated it to the club having not worn it once!.

Id be slightly careful that is my usual technique too and it normally works perfect but I did it on a new Koral gi a few years back and it slightly warped the collar,gi was still usable but a bitch to keep closed.

I always check the collar every 10 mins now just in case.

think korals come pre shrunk :-)

Does anybody else see the irony of somebody with a name like Cletus commenting on how to shrink a Gi?

Why don't you shut up and stay on topic.

Why don't you lighten up and get a sense of humour. This whole forum is a complete wate of time anyway and is obviously moderated by a bunch of jumped up litle Hitlers.I won't be wasting any more time on it . Goodbye and good riddance.

I'm pretty sure it's not ironic at all actually. :)
