    Hi All,

I was looking for some advice from my fellow peers (Arch. Tech.s); I have over 5 years experience working as an Architectural Technologists. However I have been working as a cad tech. for the last 3 years. I would really like to go back to what I trained in; as I feel quite passionate about it.

I am looking on advice on what courses should I attend to upskill & make me more employable (if things pick a little!). Before now I didn't have time to do so; as I was building my house (self build hard going!).

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Thanks

    id recommend this course
    http://gse.cat.org.uk/msc-architecture-advanced-environmental-and-energy-studies

im sure there are many more local courses, however from experience many do not suit a working timetable or offer a route to a masters without primary degree. (note that this is course was not tax deductible when i was doing it:o)

id also recommend you look into membership of the ciat or the ciob offering chartered membership - im not sure you get much from membership but its more than the RIAI offers:(

the CIOB/CIAT do seem to be one method of joining the rics so that you can be 'chartered' or an 'assigned certifer' and sign-off construction after next march (though i don't know anyone who has gone this route btw)
