Alloy lock nuts stolen

So the car was broken into over the wkend and they stole the master security socket to remove the nuts on the car

They very considerate scumbags though and left the box behind, its non branded so don't have a clue where to start! It does have a code on the box for what its worth

It seems like a fairly standard lock nut to be fair, perhaps they all look the same I don't know as its the only car I have ever had with them on it!

I rang the garage where I bought it (a main dealer) and spoke to a useless fella who just said "drop it in and we will try drill them off"...eh no thanks.

So at this stage my primary concern is to get the nuts off and replaced with a new set....a) In case they come back for them...hopefully unlikely...and b) in case I get a puncture and Im up the creek!

Has anybody used these or any recommendations?

I don't care about damaging the existing nuts as I will be replacing them...

Get them drilled off, TBH the garage were pretty correct with that statement.

Unless they are OEM wheel nuts you will find it difficult to get the correct key.

I got a set of them before to get lock nuts off, They were too big to work. I ended up hammering on a socket and working them off that way

Whats the point of buying lock nuts of Halfords sell a tool to remove them without the key for €17?

Had mine removed by a tyre replacement guy last week as the last place I got tyres kindly never replaced the lock nut key !

He used a sharp chisel and a lump hammer.

All 4 off in around 5 minutes with no damage to wheels.

OP: If you get a puncture you will be stranded so I would get them off asap.

    Mike.
