The Nikon D100 offers high end specs. It shoots outstanding photos with amazing low light performance and I find it fantastic because there is a mix of still-image and video-recording quality, along with plenty of features:)

Nice camera. I have the D5200 (same spec except daft 24mp), BUT I have mine set down to 12mp as 24mp is daft for a hobbiest like me. The only thing I don't like is the lack of the extra dials for direct controls rather than having to use menus, but the tilt screen is a plus. I nearly bought the D7100 for that reason but the 5x00 series is lighter and smaller with tilt screen which suited me. Stuck an 18-200 on it as a one size fits all occasions. The low light ISO of the D5100/5200 is staggeringly good. I hardly use the flash indoors anymore.
