Radian battery/charger suggestions?

Hi folks,

I recently bought a Parkzone Radian RTF and now I'm looking into getting a bigger battery and better charger. I've started taking some videos with a Mobius camera so I'm hoping to upgrade the battery in order to increase flight times. Any recommendations on a suitable upgrade? I have seen batteries online from 1300mah all the way up to 5000mah but I could do with some advice.

Looking at that I'd probably just buy a 3s 1300mah from Hobbyking (EU or UK warehouse because of international lipo shipping issues at moment) of from Giantshark.co.uk. The forms seem to agree that up to 2200 will work, but you don't benefit much vs the greater weight.

The hobbyking batteries will have XT60 plugs which will need an adapter to the EC3 connectors on the Radian, this battery http://www.giantshark.co.uk/product/169199/5c-charge-loong-max-tipple-1300-3s1p-30c-40c-lipo-battery would be ready to go but is a bit dearer.

As regards chargers, I've had great luck with this and they're generally very well regarded.

Never used them personally - I see it has a "Deans" plug on it, which would also mean an adapter.

I have a radian and use the turnigy Accucel 6 that civdef mentioned and find it very good for charging.I use a 1800mah in mine and get plenty of flight time from it.If you want to get a battery from Ireland with the same connections as your current battery then this should be a good choice and is 2200mah.

accucell 6 and 2200 mah batteries is what I've always used for 2 radians here. The heavier battery makes the radian fly a lot better IMO.

The accucell 6 charger is great for the price of it.

Great thanks, I'm gonna order this 2200mah battery tonight so. What are HobbyKing like in terms of delivery times/cost? The Accucell charger will be able to charge 2 3-cell batteries at once right?

Hobbyking usually take a week or so from their hong kong shop.

To charge 2 3 cell batteries at once, a lead needs to be made up, or bought, to connect both sets of power leads in series, then an adaptor for the balance leads to be connected to the 6 cell port has to be setup, and then the charger set to charge a 6 cell lipo. Not as straight forward as it would first seem.

Simple enough if you fully understand the makeup and connections of the cells to their balance leads and power leads.

I never bother with it myself as one battery at a time is usually enough, but I have 2 chargers anyway.
