It would be interesting if North Midlands is on 99.4 from Cairn Hill as the only national radio station available, unfortunately, from Cairn Hill is Radio1

88.1 and 99.5 were on and modulated this morning - BBC Scotland was coming in loud and clear on 94.3 in Dublin but no doubt that TX will be switched on soon.

99.4 is on today. Audio a bit lopsided to the left.

Driving around Tallaght I can get XMAS FM on 88.1 And also another station on the same frequency both playing Xmas music ! 94.3 and 99.5 are clear so far, also there was a station on 101.5 last few evenings playing a mix of music.

106.7 on air from Cork City, RDS reads "Xmas FM", someone discovered lower case letters in the last 12 months.

105.5 was quiet around 5pm but not sure how the signal would be around here anyway. 106.7 is very strong here about 60km from the city in the car, clearer than 106.1 usually is anyway

Is 106.7 definitely from Hollyhill? I thought the previous transmissions came from a site near the Airport.

That site is now used for campus radio ucc

Issue with the PI code on 94.3 in Dublin - it's the same code as RTE Radio 1 !

Thus Christmas FM quickly changes to radio 1 as you drive around with AF turned on.

Ah I hadn't realised that. I assume the recent multicity stations such as the rock have been using the Hollyhill site too.

Is it on the Watertower or on the eircom mast?

That was probably BBC Radio 2 - this evening (Wednesday) BBC radio 2 is wiping out 88.1 and BBC radio 1 is wiping out 99.4 in South West Dublin

Couldn't get it on 103.8 myself on the drive home earlier. I've just started listening online now and it sounds very 'muffled', anyone else having an issue? I listened for half an hour earlier online and it was fine.

I would be thinking the allocation of 99.4FM for Cairn Hill would be to force a pirate radio station, Misty Mountain Radio (also 99.4) in Cavan Town off the air........

Listened on tune in radio app and it was fine. Not a sign of it on FM in the southeast yet. C103 is coming in on 103.7 as well which may cause some interference when/if it does go live here.

C103 on 103.7 shouldn't cause much of an issue if you're in its proper service area, Mt Hillary is well away from Wexford, Waterford and Carlow and 103.8 should flatten it when it's live.

99.4 has always been allocated from Cairn Hill, it's a Lyric FM assignment but currently active (will probably never be active since RTE R1 has been on since 2005 and no sign of the other 3/4 services)

I was travelling past Naas, Co. Kildare last Sunday and tried to tune in to the pirate station in the Newbridge/Naas area (Galaxy on 92.3/4 FM).

It wasn't on, but my car radio locked on 92.2FM following a scan of the FM band in that neck of the woods, and I came across Christmas FM. No RDS, but the liners and presenter on air proved that it was Christmas FM.

As 92.2FM is not one of the frequencies listed in the OP, and is no where near any of those frequencies to be considered a spurious transmission, I wonder whether this was an unauthorised relay or a link?
