    Hi

Just wondering if anyone knows if a student who is withdrawing now and has paid their student contrbution charge is full is entitled to any refund.

I have read the website but it is a little unclear...and I am waiting to hear back from the Fees office.

    Student is full time undergrad.

    Thanks

You get half your fees back if you deregister before January IIRC. I can't remember where I read it but I'm 99% sure that's right!

    EDIT: Found it! http://www.dit.ie/media/registrations/studentserviceswebsite/registrationservice/deferwithdraw/Financial%20Implications%20of%20Deferring%20Withdrawing.pdf

Assuming you are in first year, if you withdraw now and start a new course next year, you will have to pay full fees for the first year elsewhere, not just registration fee. COnsider very carefully if you could finish first year and transfer into 2nd year of a course you like better.
