    Hi

I am trying to find out what connector/cable I would need to play my iphone 5s through the car radio in a 2010 Yaris?

    Any advice?

    Thanks

I don't think the 2012 Yaris has a AUX in for audio.

    Your Options are.

    1. FM transmitter.
    2. An adapter that pretends to be a cd player (runs about 80-120 Euro)
    3. An after-market radio.

We tried connecting an iPhone to a rav4 using a toyota iPod interface back in 2008 and it didn't work. It played music but you couldn't change album. Worked fine on iPod.
Maybe later systems have changed but you'd want to be sure the connector/radio is compatible with your particular device.

A cheap fm transmitter would work best, you can get them for around a tenner on ebay :)

Not the best for sound quality to be fair.

Thanks - there is a connection there beside the base of the gear stick for "AUX"

Ive never heard of FM transmitters before and to be honest if I could find a lead/cable I would proabably rather go with that as I find technology infuriating when it goes wrong.

You just need a 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack cable.

Thanks very much - got one for 2.99 in Jervis - works a treat.
