I read an article maybe a year ago about the benefits of backing the flat speed bread types against the more NH type horses in these Junior Bumpers(1m6f and below).
Just wondering has anyone any views on this i might keep a log on here as to how they fair over the course of the next couple of months. For a 1point win stake on all.

So on that note there is a bumper in Ludlow at 3.50
There is 2 that stand out to me as speedier types than the rest.
    Rough Fighter - 1pt win
    Canicallyouback - 1pt win

**This is only for my own interest and im not actually backing all the horses. I just want to keep track of the results.
Gonna just use SP for keeping track of it

Both ran decent races. With Rough Fighter definitely outrunning his odds. Gonna keep this up until the new year i think.

Kiers will you be keeping track of all by flat sires is it

Not all flat sires as that could sometimes mean backing every horse in the race. Just the horses that i believe have the most solid flat pedigree over all. It isnt really an exact science and i cant seem to find that article i read but it is just an experiment. If anyone wants to put forward any selections to they are more than welcome.
I didnt get much of a chance to do a right up pre race today but i would like to for races in the future. I dont really want to give to much thought about it though so write ups will be brief as it is essentially a guessing game.

Magnier had a 3 mile irish pointer winning a 1m6f bumper in huntingdon the weekend so I wouldnt be writing off stoutly bred animals dont see an angle here I predict a loss,a lot of shadwell castoffs ect run in them and most them are castoffs for a reason.

Ya i seen that alright. But the theory is that most of them are running for lesser known trainers and tend to be ignored in the market. I would be surprised enough if it ended in a profit myself but its just an experiment as i say..

Would be happy to take on the King fav in the Bumper at Ludlow with either Silver Songstress or Arctic Chief.Silver Songstress is an e/w price so would chance her.

Silver Songtress did look interesting alright. There are a couple that caught my eye on pedigree giving a mention also to Bigindie and Uncle Muf. I ruled out Uncle Muf as i figured Ger Lyons is a shrewd enough trainer and the fact that he never got him to the track was enough to put me off. Bigindie also caught my eye but John Weymes has a woeful record from what i can see in these events.
As you have said i would also definitely want to take on the King horse as he looks to have his quirks.
The one i was really interested in was Arctic Chief as you have pointed out as well. Out of an Exit to Nowhere mare with a lot of speed on the stallions side.
The money has come now and as i am using SP for the purpose of this excercise the price could end up silly.
But i believe he is the obvious play
    Arctic Chief - 1pt win

Not a great start. Just done at 1.01 today .
A bit foolish that I discounted the winner probably as his pedigree when I look back at it now probably was the best.
But there will always be some uncertainty and guessing.

Not sure if there is a point in putting up a selection today as it is an absolutely woeful event and I would be absolutely shocked if the favourite didn't win. This filly looked very quick on debut and I would be surprised if she wasn't capable of carrying a penalty against this lot. Was half interested in the motivator gelding cut n shut, but the fact that he makes his debut at 6 is severely off putting added to that he doesn't seem to have any support at all.
I don't really want to but for the purpose of this excercise I'm gonna have to put up the favourite.
    Rouquine sauvage - 1pt win

Hasn't been 1 of these in over a week. I did a bit of study last night. On the phone now so gonna keep it short and sweet. I originally narrowed it down to 3 that I liked. First was the Paul nicholls French import Alto Des Mottes, but I ruled him out because o the penalty. I also liked Kibo but he ran an average race lto in what looks a worse race than this. The one I settled on was Henry Daly's LStig. Not the most confident of selections but I think this could be run at a crawl and he has the speed to burn these off in the closing stages. I doubt he will be the best long term prospect but I think he will be primed to run a big race. This is the first selection I've put here that I have actually had a bet on so hoping for a big run.
    3.45 Exeter LStig - 1pt win

The 3.25 in Wetherby today is an abolute minefield. I wonder why i started this tbh.
I wont lie i didnt have much time to go through these as i have done with the first few races. Im gonna keep it short and sweet there are 1 i like in this and another that i kind of like but not sure. Just gonna stick with the one selection though which is:
    Clarence Beeks - 1pt win

**The other i did like was Doctor Glaz who will most likely win ha.
