howdy folks. Our outside security light was drawing too much power so I'm changing to a 20W Led lamp (No PIR) I want to replace the wall switch with some sort of timer. Is there one out there suitable for LED lights?

Any timer that is suitable for halogen security lights would also be suitable for LEDs. Generally timers will require a neutral to operate and this is not normally found at a light switch.

Perhaps it would be better to have these lights controlled by PIR?

    separate pir

or photocell even if it's only 20 watts
