Mini tablet for kids....

Anybody have any tips or opinions on which tablet to buy for a 9 and 7 year old,

They want a joint one for xmas :

I cant decide between the
nexus 2013, probably too high end for them
nexus 2012,
or i have a chance to get a new samsung tab 2 16gb wifi for 100 euro

Im thinking to get the tab 2, it seems it will be more than enough for what they want to do with it, take pictures, play games, kids apps, watch a movie etc, not fussed about the lack of HD to be honest.......

any advice ... ive been googling the ****e out of this and my head is going around in circles :-)

I was in the same boat reading review after review and getting more confused the more I read. In the end I bought two of these, delivered last week.
I';ve had some time to play around with them, setting them up and they appear to be perfectly fine for kids. Fast enough and not bad looking.

I went with the samsung in the end, was one left at 100, so i nabbed it, pink case and 32gb mini sd at a tenner each.....

Happy enough with that

Tbh I'd buy the Nexus 2013 as it had proper access to the Google Play Store, as nice as the new Fire is, being limited to the Amazon would be a pain.

Agreed,and something tells me that amazon will end up locked down like apple at some stage
