9 year old with chipped tooth

    Hi

My 9 year old chipped her two front teeth last night, like an upside down V in the middle.

Not hugely noticeable but I would like to get it fixed.

Will be ringing dentist later but in the meantime my questions are:

Will a dentist cap a 9 year olds tooth? (they are adult teeth)
Can it be done for free under HSE?
I think she will need braces eventually so would this effect getting a cap?

    Thank you :)

i myself had a tooth broke when i was 8, i got a cap on it throught the clinic, its meant to only be a temporary cap but mine is still there 14 years later. Im not sure its covered under the medical card as techinically its cosmetic! but as far as im aware if she has insurance through her school (the 24 hour cover) its covered under that.

Does she get free hse dental care through the school?
