    Hi,

I want to up grade my satellite set up. Will this do what I want?

    I have:
Old Sky Satellite 4 port LNB Old single tuner fta receiver

    I want:
To be able to plan recordings through EPG record one while watching another HD quality

    I'm going to get this
    http://www.humaxdirect.co.uk/product.asp?ProdRef=10208#more-info

I'll also order some extra sat cable and connections.

Should I get a freeview card too? I'd like to get as much out of it as possible so if there's anything else I can do please let me know.

Thanks very much for your help.

I dont think these machines take a freeview card, why would you want one anyway?

I'm not sure. Like I said I want to get as much as I can out of the unit and was wondering if the card would add anything.

The Humax Freesat box you linked to will allow you to plan recordings through the EPG, set up Series Link recordings, watch one program while recording another (requires 2x coax runs from your LNB) and all in HD quality.

By "freeview card" you presumably mean a Freesat-from-Sky card - the Humax box will not take one of these cards.

Thanks for your help. I ordered from Humax direct on monday for the 3-5 day delivery to parcel motel. I got an email confirming the order and the money has left my account. The email said i'd get further emails regarding delivery and invoice. I haven't got anything and it hasn't arrived. I've emailed twice but no response.

Has anyone ordered from them before? any hassles?

Just had the same rubbish from them myself. They advised me that (1) I must be using a UK registered credit card and (2) they do not ship to freight forwarding companies such as Parcel Motel..... None of which is in the Legal Trading Terms printed on their website.

There is no such thing as a Freeview card. The clue is FREEview.

You can buy Humax on Amazon and if they do not ship to here then, as others have said, use Parcel Motel. Simples.
