Why ? who wants to go back to all that kind of nonsense ?

Morons who blame the otherside for all their problems

It doesnt matter what side they're on this kind of scum needs to be removed from society if we want peace in Ireland

They.do, but there are plenty of people who will defend this action and claim any one arrested is innocent.

The majority of the time whoever is arrested for things like this are innocent, the PSNI just lift a bunch of people and release them unconditionally the next day They've also stitched up the craigavon two and brian shivers suffered a miscarriage of justice. Skepticism is healthy

If they get the people who actually did it then that's great, but then my thought process on things like justice goes further than "yabba dabba do, any taig will do"

I imagine everyone drives a DeLorean and you all just keep going back to the future.

Spring uprisings are ok, if it's not in your backyard.

    The world looks on.

The 1970s called, they want their rhetoric back.

If people stopped protecting them, the psni would have an easier job.and if people stopped brainwashing kids that this is somehow glorious and noble then there would be less people volunteering.

That's an attempted bus bomb, and attempted lorry bomb and now an attempted car bomb in the space of a few days.
    http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/local-national/northern-ireland/bus-driver-forced-to-transport-bomb-29773054.html

There's still a major undercurrent of absolute tools up there who have no concept of what the majority of the people want. They are being protected and supported by a tiny minority but are eventually gonna end up killing a large amount of people again. They have no care for human life.

    Idiots.

But why did your man actually drive it into the car park?

I know once I got a safe distance away I would be out of that car like a lightning bolt.

    Has anyone claimed it yet?

The government should run ads telling these terrorists to stop.

    Well if they use a line like;

'Drive this into the city centre or we'll shoot your family - we know why you live'

You'd probably do exactly what they say.

Oh right, sorry I didn't see that in the news story.

If that is the case well why would you run straight to the police, surely you would be just as worried for your families safety if you were seen to be going to the police.

Doubt anyone will be in a rush to claim it since it was a total failure.

In the heat of the moment you would probably think to go straight to the cops, plus if the bomb went off and killed people it would be an awful thing to have over your head.

He did the right thing, in my opinion, and potentially saved lives by doing so since they only tried to detonate it when the bomb squad came to look at it.

A detonator went off, but failed to trigger the bomb, which consisted of home-made explosives in a beer keg.
Sounds like a sh1te college fraternity prank gone wrong

It wasn't reported that they said that, just giving a scenario as to why someone might do exactly what they say. They very well may have said that.

I did read that the bus driver last Monday who faced a similar scenario did drive the bus somewhere safe instead.

Alot of Christmas shoppers will probably stay home and order from the internet now too with the nerves.

I know two people who closed their restaurants and move south because of the protection demands and other nonsense.

Its ruining a great city !

I was up there in August and that point can't be stressed enough.

It is a lovely city with a really good vibe and (obvious exceptions aside) does feel really safe.

One I thing I really felt, was how proud Belfast people are of their city. I hope these scumbags are caught soon and their gangs broken up so the normal every day Belfast folk can get back to enjoying their wonderful town.

Agree, all sides idiots need to be stopped, no more bombs or riots over flags or whatever.

Despicable act. But no one has claimed responsibility yet, there have been instances where acts by loyalists were initially blamed on the "other side". So I think it is premature to point fingers straight away.

    I agree.

It may have feathers, a beak, lays eggs and can swim, but let's wait for it to quack before we call it a duck.

If you are going to be thick about it at least do it properly, not all aquatic birds neither quack nor are ducks. :pac:

They need to change the coverage of these things, maybe not emphasise which 'Freedom Fighter' club is claiming they did it.

Rebrand all the terrorist groups and lump them together as the Fcukwit Alliance Force, make their symbol a mickey on a cabbage.
