Hi I just got the new 13 retina mbp last week I've noticed when in safari or chrome or Firefox it says that the apps are using significant energy does anyone know why? Also the battery lasts around 11 hours on normal work but when I watched a film on Netflix it used nearly 90% of the battery it was only a two hour movie? Anyone any ideas? Should I send it back? I've downloaded vuze and u torrent but they weren't turned on?

Sounds normal. Web browsers put a lot of load on battery life at the best of times, especially bloated ones like Firefox or Chrome. And if you are watching streaming HD video, forget about it. Avoid Silverlight and Flash - they are rubbish and are pretty much designed to drain battery. Videos downloaded from iTunes should be better.

Also, screen brightness can be a huge battery killer.
