Do you have any idea how the station in Annestown is doing. Tramore has a station as well and is only down the road. Is there room for the two. Would love if a station was set up in Dungarvan, one that has a bit of everything, music, news, sports, etc and which could be picked up all over West Waterford. Youghal has a station which can be picked up in most of West Waterford, but the music content on it is a bit crap and some of the presenters that I have heard from time to time it could be said love themselves. They have a good GAA programme on a Friday evening often covering live games covering teams from East Cork. They also carried the Clashmore/Ardmore Western IHC final live last year.

re. CRY / Community Radio Youghal, (on 104.0 FM) There was a piece about them on tonight's 'Cork County Matters' on SKY 191 (Irish TV/Showcase channel)
It was broadcast between 7PM and 7:30PM (today Tuesday).

It is due to be repeated at Midnight tonight (0:00 Wednesday morning)
and repeated again Friday morning 6:30AM -7AM and Sunday afternoon 3PM-3:30PM

Irish TV/Showcase channel is available Free-to-Air on any receiver receiving UK satellite channels (at Astra 28. ) and on UK Freesat receivers at Channel 400
and also on 191 on Eircom Evision ( AFAIK its not on upc)

The station in Tramore is a licenced community station, while the station in Annestown is only online.Anyone can start an online station. The very basic setup could be done for free.If it is to be done properly,it should pay royalties to IMRO,and that can cost a bit.But I would imagine people set up hobby stations, and hope for the best.If you google shoutcast, and search for Irish stations, you can see what listeners the different stations have. You could set up a very basic music station using shoutcast, which is free.It may interest you to have a look

unfortunately there was no repeat at midnight .
This repeat was showing on EPG earlier, but the programme 'Irish Paint Magic' (was on TG4 in the past) went out at midnight instead.

The EPG now says 'Cork County Matters' is also broadcast on Friday morning 6:30AM-7AM, Saturday 2:30- 3:00AM, and Sunday afternoon 3PM-3:30PM.
The C.R.Y. piece is in the second half of the show (after the ad break)

    Its also available online

    Go to
    http://www.irishtv.ie/category/cork/
select the video 'Cork Matters 13' and it is about 13 minutes into the show
    or

Sound for the heads up on this.

Unfortunately the show at 6:30 this morning was a different episode. I'd say anyone that wants to check it out should just go straight to the website at this point
