Ok first of this is not real but something i was thinking of adding in to a computer project i am doing.

If i was supplying about 300 pc's for a company with the OS a side say i got the keys when on sale the windows 8 ones at €15 say or i was going to use the key from there pc's that they have at the moment.

Would it be better to custom build for max profit and manageability so if the motherboard goes in a years time you can just get an other motherboard with the same socket number etc.

They would be just basic office machines as cheap as possible for something better and alot faster then some old P4 machine that would have been running xp as all the money would be getting spent on upgrading the network.

If a custom build was to be used what spec would you go for.

at 300 pc's, Microsoft will probably be ringing them yearly to check their codes are valid. So if the old machines have OEM licenses you won't be able to reuse them.

As for buying the cheap licenses again you would have to check properly that the licenses don't break Microsoft's Term's of use.
