    Good Evening folks,

its being racking my brain for the last few days over this issue.

I'm looking to buy some products, 10 types overall. Of the products the seller has said they can fit

    1250 of product A in a 40ft container
    1800 of product B in a 40ft container
1650 of product C in a 40ft container etc etc,

if I wanted to buy 500 of product A and 300 of product B, how many of product C can I get... is there a simple formula for this? a excel formula would be great thanks

Divide the amounts you can fit by 40 to get amounts per foot. Then multiply the result A and B by the amounts you actually want of each - the sum of these two will be the total footage taken up by A and B. Take this total from 40 and then you should be able to figure out how much of C you can get..

    Spreadsheet attached! :)

U can change the figures in column C by trial and error and see the total in column E.

Be careful! Depending on individual product sizing, you may run in to trouble.

The total volume of the products you select my be = total volume of container, but they may not all fit (for example, if some are cylindrical).

or item A may be 1.4 times the size of item B, but because of dimensions may leave space in the container at the top or side, so if you take out 140 Item B's you wont be able to fit 100 item B's unless you chop some of them up...
