If you changed the flame rectification probe, then you are obviously a registered gas installer & therefore would know exactly what the issue is with your boiler.

"I" was not the one who changed the flame sensor "I" paid a RGI engineer to carry out work , he thought this may have solved the problem but is now talking about igniter or gas
valve , I am just looking for any other thoughts or inputs before I go down the costly route of trying different parts to no avail ?
    Thanks again in advance

"I" infers self. Any RGI should be able to test components to determine their correct function. Poor RGI's or shall we call them "I"'s are generally the plug & play type of fault finder which leads to an expensive non-returnable parts collection.

So do yourself a favour & call a Registered Gas Installer or ask for a recommendation for your area here. It'll be cheaper & safer in the long run.

In all fairness, you did say : I changed the flame sensor, and unregistered gasworks are both illegal and dangerous.

The symptoms you are giving a very vague in nature and without correct combustion readings, gas rating, testing of gas pressures etc. it would be impossible to advise you with anything more than a guess as there is a number of factors that could lead to this sort of issue.

Thanks , yes misleading in my post ,
The deal is I did get a RGI and he couldn't say for sure what was the problem apart from suggesting a few parts that may it may not fix the problem , I need to call another RGI to sort this problem so I am trying to see if anyone has come across this problem before .
I would not mess around with gas or endanger my family , if any of you think you know what us causing the problem I would gladly give you the job

Boiler making loud bang in ignition
Boiler fires up but after a while will go into a continous ignition loop , on off on off in a matter if seconds

    Hot water rads upstairs
    UFH with stats downstairs

    Brgds

As I said previously, many issues can cause this result.

It is a combustion issue by the sounds of it, and will need some investigation onsite, including faulty flueing, termination, chamber seals, gas valve setting, working gas pressures, combustion chamber inspection etc. Impossible to give a definitive answer other than guess.

I think a good RGI should/would have not suspected this was a flame rectification issue, as would not present itself in this manner.

If you are unsure of choosing which RGI, ring Baxi/Potterton and ask technical guys who is in your area that the know and trust.
