Looking for a hybrid men's bike for commuting to work and fitness. Size small and with a rigid fork.

Someone must have an oul Boardman from Halfords sitting out in the shed maybe?

    Tight enough budget.

I have a two year old Boardman Hybrid Pro - the top of the hybrid range with hydraulic disc brakes. It was bought in summer 2011, only used for a year and is in excellent condition. But if your budget is very tight?

Yeh in fairness I might need to just save a bit of cash together as with my budget now I won't get very much by the looks of it.

Well if you get a few shiny pennies together quickly, then we might be able to do business.

Don't want to hijack sparrowcars thread but what ballpark are you looking to sell the boardman for?

    How tight is tight?

I've a 54cm Raleigh SF 1.0 flat bar road bike. 50x34 170mm, with 11-30 cassette, 2300/Sora level flat bar shifters and is fully serviced. Less than 1000km on the chainset, chain and cassette.

I'm 5'4 for reference and it's comfortable enough for me to ride it (and I feel quite upright), although I'm used to being stretched out on a road bike with drop bars.

Hoping, perhaps optimistically, to get 700ish (it is for charity but feel free to make an offer) and this includes the following

    Topeak DX Rack

Topeak DX Trunk Bag slots in to groove on rack

    Cane Creek Ergo Bar Ends

Also hydraulic brakes have been serviced and new pads fitted but bike was never used since.

I'm out lads but thanks anyway. I'm going to try and get something in the sales or after people get new bikes for Xmas adverts might be interesting in January.

I'm a mountain biker so rather put my money into parts for it to be honest. My concern is taking my good bike to work and leaving it there for the day, that's the reason behind looking for a cheap commuter.

Would you be interested in a Felt QX 75, immaculate condition, I'd say there's no more than 400km done. I would sell it if I got €350.

Thanks anyway but I've changed my mind and will wait till the new year and see what my options are then.
