Preserving Land

    Hi all,

I've raised a few issues on a few occasions with the hunt and each time never got a satisfactory outcome. So enough is enough,
How do I go about preserving my land?

My lands are not covered by any gun club, only myself and three other people shoot them. If I go ahead with a preservation notice will all permissions be lost or will I still retain the right to grant permissions to those who already have them?

Has anybody who preserved their land encountered any hostility in their locality or from neighbours?

    Thanks.

If its your land you can do as you please as long as you don't commit any violation of the wildlife act
Make sure any of your friends if they are not in a gun club who shoot your land have adequate insurance that covers them and their dogs for hunting.
Some of my lands are a designated sanctuary for pheasants as I have feeders out, the rest is open to local gun club but no hunting with any lurches is allowed ,I love to see the hares running about.the club releases birds into the sanctuary every year
    So everyone is happy

Thanks for the advice, all the lads are covered. They only come for a shot on 1st of Nov. and one of the does a bit of pest control as he lives on one of the land blocks. My interest is in vermin and pest control and a few clays, absolutely no interest in game shooting.

What are the steps involved in getting my lands preserved?
