In this day and age, we can stream a huge host of TV shows, while the services are not top of the line in Ireland yet, they're coming very close, and we can steam a lot of shows and movies instantly in high definition quality, due to the use of streaming services such as Netflix and the RTE Player(you know, if you like bad tv.). Other countries have even better services, I believe Hulu uploads many shows the day after they're broadcast on TV.
Due to the fact people can basically have nearly any season of nearly any show at their finger tips with streaming services these days in full HD quality at a fraction of the price of a TV subscription, are TV channels possibly set to become extinct in the not so distant future? Obviously, they're staying around for a few years at least, but does anyone else believe TV channels could possibly become extinct in the next 20 years or so?

I wouldn't say that they are becoming extinct, I would say we are witnessing the evolution of TV
