3 broadband nbs

    hi, i have an eircom land line with broadband but as i dont use the landline much decided to go for 3 mobile broadband under the national broadband scheme with the intention of getting rid of the landline. rang up their sales team and spent a painful 30 mins on the phone with an indian signing up with promises of the best broadband package available. got delivery of the modem and repeater and plugged them in and set up the connection. i have to have the huawei modem beside my pc to even recieve the wifi signal . will not work from another room and keeps freezing. the eircom package i had was dated but the 3 one is the worst ive ever seen , keeps freezing pages slow to load etc. will it be a big ordeal cancelling as i have signed up to a 12 month contract but have only paid 29 euros for the modem so far. was thinking of cancelling my direct debit and cutting my losses . if i send the modem back will i get the money back but for 29 euros is it worth all the hassle?
    think i,ll stick with eircom and see if i can get a better package.
    all help appreciated.

    Go to boards.ie/three and PM one of the reps, they will hopefully sort you out. What speeds were you getting with Eircom?

    Three's "service" under NBS isn't broadband. Get rid of it if at all possible, I made the mistake of staying with them for four years instead of going for the more expensive and reliable fixed wireless option in my area.
    They tried pretty much everything to try and get us to keep the three connection in the house, cheaper service, new modem, a better modem again, but don't give in and keep paying for those gangsters.
    Its really not worth the amount of hassle it causes. Its a nightmare to do the simplest of tasks, nevermind the gaming I was attempting to get out of it.
    Landline DSL or cable is the only broadband worth paying for if its available IMO.
