I currently receive a SFP and I am under 35. I am considering options at the moment

I will give an example of my situation

Say I have 40 hectares at the moment and getting a payment of €500 per hectare (I wish)

If I went out and rented another 50 Hectares next year where do I stand?. Would I have to buy/lease entitlements to make it viable? Am I entitled to anything as I am under 35?

Previous thread suggested I may get paid per hectare based on my 2013 application over the 90 hectares in 2014, surely not?

Anyone forecast what might possibly happen?

    Any advice welcomed

Going by the information as it is on the Dept website, the above is what will happen. If you are a new entrant (less than 5 years) you should get a top up. Sit and wait for a few more weeks as the new rules will have to come out soon. Entitlements are being traded in anticipation, but it's a gamble.
