First time user with some questions:

I got some wood from Tesco to try the fireplace and it was not bad...kids are excited room is warm so looking for more...

Should I keep using wood or is there better alternative that make better fire?

Any recommendations for shopping? I am based in Lucan\Dublin

attached the pic of the fireplace...

Beautiful fireplace! How about peat briquettes? You should find them most places including petrol stations.

The best I find is coal, good heat and lasts long. Also, if you haven't already, have your chimney cleaned if not done in the last 12 months.
