    Does anybody know if there is a resource or good thread to help find what races there are going to be in Dublin over the next few months?

    I have just started getting into running and am currently doing 5k distance on my own time. The goal is to do a 10k somewhere, and if I can find a good event I want to get signed up so that I have that goal to work towards!

    Upcoming races listed here : http://www.runireland.com/active/all-events
    There is a 10k on December 14th I think. It's the Aware run and it's on in the Phoenix Park. You might be looking for something next year though.

    Parkrun might be a good idea for you to practice racing if you're fairly new to the sport and sometimes it's nice to run with other people for a change. It's only 5k but might be good prep for you. Plus it's free! There's a Parkrun thread in the Events section here.
    Good idea signing up to a race now and paying for it so you can't back out. Good luck!
