1890 numbers - is there a website to get direct dial numbers?

Wondering if there is an Irish equivalent to the UK website "saynoto1890"?

Often banks and such businesses give 1890 numbers, but these aren't included in my free calls, or I can't call them from NI which would be handy.

If I could get the direct dial number from the 1890 number it would help a lot.

It's far from a comprehensive listing, to be honest.

It seems to be pretty much a one-man operation.
He relies on site visitors to help out with providing the landline numbers, whenever possible.
Having said that I have found it very useful on at least 9 or 10 occasions.

Didn't even know that website existed. Those 1890 numbers drive me mad especially with the free landline calls. Thanks for that.

Also many companies list a number for 'people calling from outside Ireland'.
This is usually a landline number with 00 353 before it.
So it's often worth having a search on their web sites if you can't find a match on 'say no to 1890'.

In 2013 there was a real opportunity to sort this mess out once and for all. Article 21 of the EU Consumer Rights Directive comes into effect on 13 June 2014 and requires post-sale customer helplines to be charged at no more than "basic rate".

Unfortunately, the Irish legislators blew it. See
