Gave Banagher 200 a piece for 12'6 earlier in the year.

I'm guessing a 3 bay shed would take 12 slats. Would this be right?

A few more id have thought... 3 bays is 47foot 3inches and i thought most slats were about 3foot 6 wide, so that'd only come to around 42foot. Maybe there 4foot??

Thought myself that they were 45 inches. Bays would be 15ft

not wishing to hijack . but

    i was quoted €37.5k +vat for a 4 pen , 12'6" single bay slatted shed,

this includes every thing ,,except digger hire and any stone (which i have to hand)

there would also be a concreted 1.5 mtr. over hang at the back for a covered crush

    how does the quote sound?

Sounds expensive. I plan on doing mine bit by bit for a fraction of that

I'm guessing you are bolting on to an existing shed then? If not why not go for 15'9 as feed barriers are already set for that length, and the timbers you'll have to but will be the same length you'll just be cutting more off... Its an extra 2foot of room for the sake of an extra too sheet

I think that sounds fairly good, sure if you got a couple of more prices you'd have a better idea

No it will be a stand alone shed. Haven't really got to the point of feed barriers yet so hadn't considered it. Will adapt for them so it will be 15'9 then. Just looking to buy whatever slats I need first then get the tank dug. Probably just get tank girders and barriers up this year then roof next year

Make two heaps of it monday morning and bring one into the local revenue and the other into the bank . Both of them will make sure it never bothers you again :D

Don't know but I doubt it. He is as straight a man as I ever dealt with and by the way I have no connection to him in any way.

It's just that most feed barriers are being sold off the shelve at 15'9 and when it comes to buying timbers to roof it you'll have to buy4.8meter lengths anyways, so no real point cutting them down... At the end of the day it's an extra meter or 2 of concrete, and an extra sheet in the roof, but it's also another 2foot or room within the shed, and the steel work will still cost you the same!!

That's a fair point and one I had overlooked until. Thanks for your input
