Its fine when its on, but after a while it starts to make a kind of vibrating noise. then when its turned off the vibrating noise keeps going for an hour or so.

    Any ideas?

Specially the burner or could it be the circulating pump?

Could be a loose baffle, I have seen this happen before when the boiler gets hot.
