    does anyone here use them was thinking of getting one. is there brands to look out for or are they all the same?

    I've never used one, but I read about them a while ago and it's probably worth trying one out on the cheap before deciding whether it's worth investing a substantial amount in them. As with everything else my understanding is that you get what you pay for.

    One option would be to build your own to try it out. See how you get on with that and then decide if spending extra cash on it is worthwhile.

    I once used a halogen living room lamp angled behind a sliding glass door with the page I was working on taped to the glass. The image being used was taped to the reverse side of the glass. If you're ever in Australia or the Southwest of the USA you can do the same trick with the window and the Sun.
