Hi,

I've been on Jobseekers Benefit since July, and I am only eligible for 6 months, so it expires in January. I've been working on a few things, and I have my own business idea that I want to run with.

In terms of the actual STEA scheme it doesn't seem worthwhile, as I have to apply, but it will expire in January anyway. However, I know you can also apply for a technical assistance grant, which could be very helpful. Does anyone know how much they are generally for, and if they are tough to get?

Any other input on what to do in this situation is also appreciated...
