    Adult or over-65?

I would swot up on a couple of risk assessments, you could ring the team to see which they prefer to use.

I think WRAP is still in favour, would be good to pop in when discussing service user involvement in relapse indicators and accessing treatment, also links in nicely with Vision For Change.

    Good luck!

    Edit
Just to check, will you be the only cmhn linked to consultant or will you be responsible for managing other cmhns?

Yeah they should go through the competencies you discussed on your application form. Did you keep a copy? If so, look back through them and reference each competency to the knowledge and skills framework posted with the job advertisement. I would advise you to think of alternative competencies as they may ask, particularly if the ones you discussed on your application don't quite meet their criteria.

Scenarios? Kinda depends what they ask.
You'll be able to pick out the issue within the scenario fairly quickly. It helps if you can keep bullet points in your head of the competency-based selection criteria, as this is what they're ticking off as you answer.

Not sure if this answers your q..but here goes.(1).og/man looks for planning..coordination of activities, effectively manage unexpected events,be flexible/adaptable in workload.(2) build/main relationships (team skills&l/ship skills )being team player,approachable,helpful,supportive,diplomatic.(3) commitment to quality service being adaptable open to change, innovative, treat with dignity/respect..&reviews own work to ensure quality.. And finally(4) show depth& breath of exp real net to post... Job spec has 5 core ideas..clinical focus, service user advocate.consultancy role, audit/research component& education and training element.. Any help to ya..

Ok, so you know the competencies they're looking for.

Approach the scenarios they give you as just another competency you're being asked to describe on an application form.

For example, if they ask you how you would manage an angry telephone complaint made by a next of kin, you will recognise your answer needs to encompass competencies 2 & 3, so your answer must contain examples of how you would be approachable, helpful, supportive (competency 2) and being adaptable, reviewing own practice (competency 3)

Re the family conflict scenario above, this is competency 4 so you'll be discussing technical issues such as psychosocial interventions, expressed emotion and impact on mental state, consequences for maintaining recovery, risk assessment with focus on harm reduction and relapse prevention...all of these are evidence of your breadth and experience relative to role.

thanks fritto.. that's a great help.. structure goes along these lines... speak about yourself first.. educational and experience backround..ect..then thru app form with fine comb and could be anything afterthat.. lasting 40 in total.
