    http://www.rte.ie/news/2013/1121/488146-speed-limits/

If where you live is anything like where I live, you'll have seen practically every road sign changed, upgraded, modified, extended not to mention a million additional and often unnecessary (IMO) additions all over the roads.

Eg here, while in the middle of an economic crisis they managed to find the money to post a bank of maybe half a dozen road signs at BOTH ENDS of this 100m, 11 house private road. Utter waste IMO, no one apart from residents has any business in that little loop and I'd wager they probable know how to find their way in and out of their own road.

I would love to know who is benefiting from all these signs (apart from the motorist of course). More importantly, I'd love to know where all the money is coming from and who is profiting from all of this activity.

Damn motorists; always wanting to know where they're going, how far away it is and how fast they are permitted to go.

I HATE THEM SO MUCH :pac:

Well the good thing is i get to judge how fast i want to go with no more 80kph signs its upto the motorist to judge the road.
Then a guard will come along and be like do you know how fast you were going and i'll be like but guard there was no sign to tell me. and then we'll go to the local pub and have a few beers and twill be grand.

What ever happened to old ireland. ye seemed to live a care free life? no signs

The brand new signs that were just put up between 2 and 5 years ago are being taken down. Nice - we must be rolling in it.

*Someone need sacking. This is ridiculous.

Not quite, it's one of these the same type that is seen on unlimited Autobahns.

Unlimited, but in reality limited by the road itself.
