first time getting published

so last week, i uploaded this pic to flickr & 500px. it got kinda crazy. it got "explored" on flickr, and made the popular page on 500px with a rating of 99.2. my inbox exploded, and it just wasn't something i was used to.

one of the emails was from photography week magazine, looking to put it in issue 61. i agreed, and it was published today.





so i guess that's kinda cool props to superflyninja who suggested i re-process that pic

Oh i'm familiar with that one...a more backhanded compliment you'll never get.

I was explored on flickr myself last week. 3 o'clock in the morning and my phone started hopping with notifications i didnt know what was going on. Great feeling though. Well done on being published.

i've been explored before, and also made popular many times on 500px, but this one was more intense. way more intense. i couldn't keep up with the emails! the fact that someone wanted to use my pic in a mag that was most exciting about the whole ordeal! although.. i'm being picky here... i'd prefer if it was an actual printed mag, and not a digital one. still though, it's a big publisher in the UK, so all good
