I would like to ask you whether me and my wife should apply for joint tax assessment or singly?

I am not currently working. I may get job in next month. My wife is working at minimum wage in a restaurant. Its our first jobs in Ireland.

    What do you guys suggest?

    Thanks!

Won't make any difference if you don't pay any tax.

Plus at the end of the year , when the tax office are issuing balancing statement ( if you request one )
They will give you whichever is most beneficial .
