    HI everyone,

I'm trying to learn the song 'like the way I do' by Melissa Etheridge. But the strumming pattern eludes me.

    I'm looking at this tutorial
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6Axy-K_jt8

but he doesn't 'really' explain the strumming in a way I'd get it. I tried slowing down the video to half speed too, but still I'm not getting it. Anyone out here with a 'dummy version' explanation of that strumming pattern?

    Any help is much appreciated

    Excellent tutorial. Thanks.

I'm still not really there. I'm hooked by that song, and I'm annoyed that I can't get it right.
I've seen a few cover versions on youtube too, and a lot of them aren't true to the original either, so there must be something about it that others are missing too. I wish I knew what it was.
