Where to get Cigarette lighter gas?

    Can't think of where else to put this.

    Need more gas for my Portasol (gas soldering iron) and can't find anywhere selling lighter gas. Tried all the local Centra/Spars/Tesco including the Centra I got it in last time a year or so ago. Plenty of zippo fluid around, but just blank looks (or 11kg of Calor Kosengas) when I look for the gas.

    Any ideas where else to look?

    I just get mine in my local Londis 'convenience store'. It comes in a pretty normal looking aerosol can.

    Yeah that's what i was expecting. like i said tried about 3 or 4 different Spar/Centra around the place without joy. Guess all the youngsters in my area have moved on to something else :(

    The can I have is branded as "Newport extra purified butane gas" as shown here http://www.newportbutane.com/2-CANS-OF-NEWPORT-BUTANE-LIGHTER-GAS-EXTRA-PURIFIED-300-ml-101102.htm.

    Now I must admit I did have some trouble getting the girl behind the counter to understand what I wanted, and had to point it out to her but it was there.

    did you go to customer service desk and get a 20% off voucher ?

    yes from 18th november till 22nd november just ask at customer service for voucher and they hand them out
