Hi guys, this has probably been asked before but i've just bought a new lg television and i've plugged it into the upc box in the wall. I'm not subscribed to any tv packages, only broadband. I autotuned and I received 4 analog channels and and lots of dtv channels and some radio.
Some channels I can view but others say that there is no CI Module. Is there a way around this? How do I get a CI Module?

    Thanks

In some areas UPC only have a couple of analogue channels, in your case 4. If you want to watch UPC digital channels you need to use a box from UPC in addition to your TV. There is no way to decode the UPC channels with a CI module.

In some European countries you can buy a module and put in a smartcard, but not with UPC. In some European countries many digital channels are not encrypted so, if your TV allows, you can perform a cable TV scan (Called DVB-C) and any unencrypted TV channels will be shown. UPC encrypts all the digital channels except possibly RTE. These may be the one or two digital channels you can watch.
