Some <blank> smashed the window in my car last night. AutoGlass gave me a quote for €150 which I think is very high.

Are there cheaper places in dublin to get this done?

They wanted 200 for the front windscreen of my C5.

Have you got windscreen cover on your policy? Most comprehensive covers have it.

Yea, check with your insurance first OP. In most cases it doesn't affect your policy at all.

On a related point... my A6 has a lot of light scratches on the windscreen (no idea what from, circular scratches) since I got it and with the dark nights/mornings it really distracts when hit with oncoming headlights.

Can this be replaced under insurance or do I have to have an accident with a stone first?

insurance didn't cover it, btw autoglass came back to me with a quote for €307.

I ended up going to a scrap yard and getting the glass and fixing it myself, total cost €31
