Expect crashes when using the latest games with the latest drivers with the latest OS, you are basically a guinea pig. Happens with AMD and with nvidia. I have had lots of crashes with my gtx680 + win8.1 lately. Latest driver update seems to have helped, fingers crossed.

If it's really bad try to roll back to a previous driver. Alternatively see if there is a newer beta driver available. There is always the chance that your hardware may be defective of course (dxdiag never really helps here), but it's more likely just the usual driver nonsense we all experience. AMD will blame microsoft for win 8.1, and microsoft will blame AMD, and both will blame the game developer etc etc.

Software is ridiculously complicated, there are always bugs. Just rage quietly until they fix it.
