Starting on nuts

    we have recently housed all the cows and calves,im wondering do people leave a trough into young calves and if so do they get them eating the odd mouthful of nuts or is it of any benefit at all,calves are late aug /sep born and a couple of late ones also,they are let into cows morning and evening,so only calves will have acess to the trough..cheers

    Yeah, we would have a bit of crunch in with calves and a nice pick of hay in the feeder.
