how do i record on my lg smart tv?

This may seem stupid but I cannot record on my tv. it just says my usb is not compatible with time machine 2..i have a friend with the identical tv and they have no problem !! any ideas please

Try your friend's USB device in your TV ..... if it works then it is a problem with your USB device.

BTW .... and OT I know ..... but this might be of interest to LG owners .....

Think your USB drive needs to be a minimum of 40gb in size in order to work with Time Machine2 recording.......i have an 80gb on mine and its working the best....
