His Illuminatus! Trilogy for example.

But in all seriousness, the concept of world power controlled by a few... people like Rockefeller have never made any secret they want world domination.

It's just difficult for most people in society to grasp the idea of some mentally unstable old men ruling the planet.

To give you an idea of why all the secrecy, here's an excerpt from a 1991 issue of the Hilaire duBerrier Report (also reported elsewhere in the French press):

"[Rockefeller] told his listeners: 'We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine, and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years....It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during these years....The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers ... is surely preferable to the national autodetermination practiced in the past centuries.'"

Carroll Quigley wrote in Tragedy and Hope

"The powers of financial capitalism had a far-reaching plan, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole."

Now, considering that most nations are slaves to the financial system, how crazy could it be that all power over the planet resides in the hands of a few sick assholes? Not at all crazy once you seriously do the research.

The fact is, the financial elite don't need a world government, they just need control of the money supply for each nation.

I don't think there is an Illuminati as in a group of people who identify themselves as such but there are certainly very wealthy people who have a lot to gain from events transpiring in their favour - that's capitalism and greed.
