Huawei E5220 VS E586

I'm getting a new 3G modem and I'm just trying to decide between the Huawei E5220 and E586.

Some sites say that the E5220 connects up to 10 devices, whereas others say just 5 like the E586, also read somewhere that it's 4G enabled though I'm not too sure about this?

Would love some feedback on either device before I make my mind up - which one if the better of the two?

    Thanks! :)

I know your post is 3 weeks old but heres my 2c anyways.

I have the Huawei E5220 with 3mobile and the E586 with o2, I find the signal strength with E586 10 times better than the E5220, though this could be down to the providers and not the modems.

E5220 only allows 5 WiFi devices and afaik supports only 3G.

E586 is far better build quality external casing & component wise. o2 also bundled better connection software with the E586.

(Lets hope 3 don't lose all the good o2 have done in the take over, a good opportunity to learn how it's done!)

I have the e5220 and want to find out is there a way to extend the rang of the wifi coverage. I am getting one to two bars on my laptop but a very bad connection on phone and tablet.

I don't know how to extended the wifi range of the e5220, but if you don't have the modem for very long then my experience with the e5220 is it takes about 3 months to "break" it in.

My signal strength got gradually much better about 3 months after I first got it, now don't have much of an issue with it anymore.

If you find a way to boost the wifi let us know :)
