BBC channels gone AWOL ?

I'm using a satellite dish for UK channels and set top box for Irish TV reception. Did my rescan a month ago and all went well, thanks to help from Boarders on this Forum. In recent days however all my BBC channels (1-4) are down , no problems with ITV/Channel4 /Channel5 or the RTE's/TV3/TnaG - just wondering if if its a technical issue with BBC transmission as all other channels fine ? I had the BBC's reception fine until Monday I think ? I live in north midlands area.
    Any views ?
    Thanks

Are you sure the BBC channels you lost are actually satellite channels? What does info tell you WRT frequency?

BBC's are back now but a lot of interference - distorted/fragmented picture and sound
    menu says - All BBC channels 530000/8M V, pid 101/102/101 (BBC1) & pid201/202/201 (BBC2) whatever that means ??

530000 kHz would be the frequency for BBC on Freeview from Brougher Mtn. So terrestrial, not satellite.

What kind of receiver is the satellite dish connected to? Is it a combi, with satellite & terrestrial in 1 channel list?

Its a Ferguson Ariva HD 120 Combo Receiver, dunno what the problem could be - BBC reception was fine until a few days ago, picture now from the BBC channels is distorted , as if some interference ?

How long is your list of channels? Do you have ITV or UTV?

Yes, I have UTV & CH 4. Have just now found BBC 1 London on Astra 1-773/H/22000, the others should be here too, gonna check it out

Yes, if you want reliable reception of UK channels, make sure you are receiving them via satellite. I would delete any terrestrial duplicates.
